2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts; catalog, import, display, and back up collections; generate listening and discovery features; process subscriptions; send transactional messages; provide support; investigate abuse and failures; and improve service reliability.
3. Public and shared information
Your vault is private unless you enable its public profile. Public profiles may show the collection information you chose to share and may be viewed or indexed by others. Shared catalog facts and privacy-safe aggregate community counts may be reused across the service. Private account information, private notes, and owner-scoped listening details are not included in public responses.
4. Service providers and integrations
We use service providers to operate My Vinyl Vault, including Cloudflare for hosting and storage, Stripe for billing, Resend for transactional email, and catalog or metadata providers such as Discogs and MusicBrainz. Information is provided only as needed for the selected feature or service operation. A connected provider also processes information under its own notice and terms.
5. Cookies and local storage
My Vinyl Vault uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in. Browser local storage, session storage, and the service-worker cache retain functional settings, temporary interface state, and application resources. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising pixels.
6. Retention
We retain account and collection information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. Security, billing, support, backup, and legal records may be retained longer where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, legal obligations, or recovery. Account deletion requests are handled through the account page or the contact address below.
7. Your choices and requests
You can edit account and collection information, disable a public vault, disconnect supported integrations, cancel a subscription through the billing portal, and request account deletion from the account page. You may also contact us to request access, correction, export, deletion, or another privacy right available under applicable law. We may need to verify the request before acting.
8. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, one-way password hashing, signed sessions, provider-hosted payment entry, logging, and backups intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Children
My Vinyl Vault is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Contact us if you believe such information has been submitted.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the service changes. We will post the revised version and effective date and provide additional notice where required. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].
