Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of My Vinyl Vault, a service provided by My Media Vault LLC.

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using My Vinyl Vault, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for it.

2. What My Vinyl Vault provides

My Vinyl Vault is a collection companion for physical music. It helps you catalog records and other supported media, retain pressing and listening details, explore your collection, and discover related records. Features, supported formats, integrations, and plan limits may change as the service develops.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. The service is intended for users who can legally enter into this agreement.

4. Limited-release availability

During an invitation-only or limited release, registration may be closed and features may change or be unavailable. We may limit, suspend, or end limited-release access while providing reasonable notice where practical. Early access does not guarantee continued availability or a particular feature set.

5. Paid plans and subscriptions

The checkout page identifies the selected plan, price, billing interval, and applicable taxes before payment. Collector and Curator subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until canceled. Stripe or its payment partners process the payment method used at checkout.

My Vinyl Vault does not receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe hosts payment entry and processes payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.

6. Cancellation, refunds, and failed payments

You may manage or cancel a subscription through the Stripe-hosted billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless the checkout page states otherwise, and no new charge will be made for the following period.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated with an offer. Contact us promptly if you believe a charge was made in error. After an unsuccessful payment, paid access may continue for the grace period shown in your account before it is limited.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of collection notes, photos, listening records, and other content you submit. You grant us the limited license needed to host, back up, process, display, and improve the service for you. You are responsible for having the rights to submit content and for not uploading unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.

8. Public vaults and sharing

Some features let you make selected collection information public. Do not publish information you expect to remain private. Information you make public may be viewed, copied, or indexed by others. Private notes and other owner-scoped information remain private according to the service design and Privacy Notice.

9. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, bypass access controls, probe or disrupt systems, impersonate another person, upload malicious code, infringe rights, scrape information in violation of applicable law or provider terms, or use the service to create a competing catalog from protected data.

10. Third-party services

My Vinyl Vault may connect to services such as Stripe, Discogs, MusicBrainz, Cloudflare, and email or catalog providers. Those services have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or content, although we will try to preserve a useful experience when an integration is unavailable.

11. Intellectual property

My Vinyl Vault, its branding, software, design, and original content are owned by My Media Vault LLC or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property.

12. Disclaimers

The service is provided for collection organization and discovery. Catalog metadata, estimated values, rarity signals, recommendations, and generated information may be incomplete or wrong and should not be treated as appraisal, investment, insurance, legal, or tax advice. The service is provided on an as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Media Vault LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or collection value arising from use of the service.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, legal requirements, security reasons, nonpayment, or discontinuation of the service. You may stop using the service or request account deletion at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required. If an update requires renewed acceptance, the service will request it before continued use.

16. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Questions should be sent to [email protected].

Status: Effective August 28, 2026.
